Jesus Christ found me when I was lost.
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”(John 15:16)
The Bible tells us,” For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”(Luke 17:10)
My name is Proshanta Kr Roy. I was born and brought up in a Hindu family. I am from Bangladesh. I would like to witness how Jesus Christ called me into his kingdom of light. While, I was studying in B.sc course by 1982. by the month of August, Then I suddenly became seriously ill and I left my college for study. I thought I would not study any more . My parents saw/took me many doctors and ultimately I was not healed. My villages Christian percentages are like 40% Hindus 50% & Muslims 10%.
Likewise,6th month gone by, by the month of December, I was invited by one of pastor from my village to attend a revival meeting. Pastor name is Rev.Alfred A.Adhikary.He belongs to Assemblies of God church. He is my very closed neighbor . He shared the gospel many times with me and applied to accept him as a personal savior. But I vehemently refused to accept Jesus Christ as my savior all the times. Even though I liked the pastor very much because he was very kind man and all his family members were very kind also toward me. By the 28th December in evening, I attended in revival meeting. There was a speaker from USA, eventhough he was a Missionary of the Bangladesh.
I could learn that he is going to speak also in my native language which created me more interest to listen him.because though I was a student of B.sc but could not speak english and understant english.He is going to speak in my native language. He began to speak from book of Galatians 6:7-8.Then he explained it very clearly which touch my heart.After that he gave an altar call but I did not respond because many my same people were present there.If I gave my life that night people couls know that abnd they will report to my parents as well all the villagers. which will affect my life differently.
The same night after the meeting over I came to pastor house and stayed with them.The following morning I asked a Bible to the pastor mother began to read Mathhew gospel,then MArk to John. While reading the Bible very attentively,somewhere I got stood up and jumped and stood up with one verse where jesus says I have not come call the righteous but for sinners. I thought few moment what a wonderful jesus came for me because I was sinner.What a wonderful savioer who loves me .
My former religion says when my god will come he will destroy me and he will save the righteous.I will be cast into hell for punishment.Otherhand jesus came to sabve me .I accepted jesus and let knew my decision to Pastor. I have my christian name Philip.for
